last weekends ride

If anyone is interested, check out this link of a ride from Sunday April
16 with the Ontario Dual Sport Club. A lot of fun, even though it was cold
and I fell into a mud bog;

A couple of the guys just got Honda XR650R's (yes 650R !!!) so hopefully
that'll mean my skill level goes through the roof this year as I'll have to
do my best to keep up with them animals. It may be time to invest in
something much more aggressive than a TKC-80 on the rear. Cole, the creator
of that page opened his XR up a couple of times and he pulled away like I
was in reverse, and it was all I could do to hold onto the handlebars! One
of the guys just sold his KLR-650 and has a brand new DRZ-400 and gives it
two hearty thumbs up off road but says it's not the highway mile eater the
KLR is/was. There is no photo evidence of it but I followed a route some
kid took on his CR-80 that got me pretty stuck. Lets say fallen trees to go
over, going uphill on an angle and being somewhat slick out stops a KLR in
it's tracks pretty quickly
I took a liking to the old XT200 - it was so
low and small yet it went through everything the big bikes went through
without missing a beat.
This is probably as good a time as any to plug the club. I couldn't
imagine riding with a better bunch of folks. Anyone else in on the list in
SW Ontario should definitely consider joining if this looks like fun to you.

P.S. - My guess is the yellow pickup is still stuck there. 2 Jeeps and a
guy with a hand winch wrapped around one of the trees didn't budge the
pickup an inch. Not an inch!
