    I was wondering if anybody on here has come up with any sort of special mount for a radar detector for the KLR.  I really don't want to mount it on the handlebars, I don't know why, I just don't.  I have been toying with the idea of making one out of aluminum stock that would mount to the center screw on the windshield.  At first I thought that I should make it mount to all three screws, but this might be extraneous with a small radar detector and the right mounting hardware. 

    This brings up a whole new problem then:  How to notice it going off.  Seeing the LEDS on it at night would be no problem I think, they would tend to catch my eye.  Daytime is another story though.  Maybe crack the detector open an install a speaker jack. 

    Anybody have ideas or photos?
