Make your holes just the right size to accept a 1/2" bolt. Screw them in for inspection screw them out as soon as you leave the inspection station. Haven't tried this, and you'd have to do it right since a 1/2" bolt makes a nice projectile. Not a permanent thing unless you tack weld them in place.
