[dsn_klr650] new scoot for wife, 2000 super sherpa

unfortunately, the supersherpa is not (to my knowledge) sold in california
yet. i'm not sure whether stacia will prefer road, or off-road (neither is
she), but i'm sure the xt225 is very capable trailbike, so it won't be a
problem if i get stuck with it. when she graduates to something bigger or
fancier, i'm definitely stealing her bike. it seems pretty perfect for low
speed twisty singletrack.
the problem we ran into is that small dualsports (and large ones too,
actually) have just about vanished from northern california in the last few
months. all the local dealers are sold out, or almost sold out, of new ones,
and used ones are few and far between. in fact, while i was in the
dealership in sacto looking at the bike we bought, 2 different people came
in looking for small dual-sport bikes. it kind of took away a little of my
haggling power.
let me know how the sherpa works out for you.
