new scoot for wife, 2000 super sherpa

Post by John Shepherd » Mon Apr 17, 2000 4:12 pm

Mark, I followed the thread about your search for a bike for your wife with great intrest as I was on the exact same search at the same time. I decided to go the Super Sherpa route though instead. I will be picking up her new bike from the dealer next Saturday. I would look forward to comparing notes with you (anyone else) on the "wife" bike experience as well as the general capabilities of these bikes. My (our) reasons for picking the Sherpa: 1) More cc's in the same size package! Important because my wife will probably do more road riding than off road. 2) Styling. Neither of us was thrilled with the green paint too much but the gold and chrome accents are way cool. Also being something of a trials bike fan I'm a sucker for anything with a low front fender! 3) My experience with my KLR650 and my local dealers. They've both been very good to me (so far). A question for Arne: Should posting about the Sherpa be labled NKLR? John Shepherd "Rider" 1996 KLR 650 A10 2000 KL 250 Super Sherpa 1986 Montesa COTA 123 1979 Yamaha DT125
