klr radiator shrouds rubbing tank...fixed!

KLRers,
A little while back, I read where someone was having a problem with
the radiator shrouds rubbing the paint on the gas tank. I found a
solution that came about through dismay. I had dropped my EH14
(Canadian) a couple of weeks back and had to order the small screen
that protects(?) the radiator. I was able to replace it today and
remembered the message about the shroud as I was replacing mine. The
radiator screens have some small u-channel rubber pieces to prevent
the screen from rubbing. I pulled my trashed screen out and
retrieved
the rubber pieces off of it. I then placed them on both shrouds at
the upper mounting screw. Problem solved and I was able to use
"Genuine Kawasaki" parts in the process. I do not recommend that
anyone "trash" their existing screen in order to make this fix, but,
if one should come across a screen that has been trashed....
