I'm riding from Stuart, Florida sometime in late May, maybe early June, if you decide to ride and want some company. Stuart

slimy core

Post by Bogdan Swider » Tue Apr 11, 2000 10:35 pm

I I've been using Slime for years without problems. Recently my valve wouldn't accept or release air. I changed valve cores and for a couple of weeks everything was fine. Today I checked air pressure (same tire) and again couldn't get a reading; pressed the core no air would come out, lots of Slime visible in the valve. Went on a ride anyway; so I'm crazy. Preceding the mentioned events, a month (?) ago, this same tire went flat on me. I couldn't find any puncture. Thought maybe the air escaped from the valve so I tightened the core. Could it be that the Slime started to set up because of the presence of air? Is it now too thick for the valve? Any advice appreciated. Bogdan
