1)Looks like 250 and 500 Ninja fans are identical 2)Extra wire is a ground; not 2 speed fan 3)The fans work approx. the same as KLR stock fan (cfm, amps) That what I discovered

Had the relay on the fan failk on my 03 w/ 20K miles - ckech that it is OK as well. It was the last thing I thought would go bad. There is a Jap. car relay that is identical @ much less money. Good luck with it! Don M
