gasoline leak

Post by dooden » Fri Apr 04, 2008 6:40 am

That petcock is a crappy design IMO, mine did the same thing, cept I had Gas flowing out and onto the starter motor and engine. Headed down to the local shop (read that as small) and they had a diaphram kit in stock paid I think $12, took petcock apart and installed new parts, leak went away. Might just try to snug the screws first, maybe the O-ring did'nt like sitting for 22 months and when you turned it ya found a bad spot, or should say the gas found the bad spot. Might be able to just replace the O-ring, mine the diaphram had a hole. The 606 is not that loud, at least just the front, put a K270 on the rear and a 606 on the front. Dooden A15 Green Ape
