We got a girl at work with the name Jodi, and I keep asking her to bring in some of that yummy Amish Bread that "yous guys make" and she gets kinda spung up and "nicely" (ya right) reminds me she is not Amish. I think the hiring policy is they have to hire all new people that have the same first name as somebody currently there.. Lets see 2 Jodi's, 3 John's, 4 Dan's, 2 Bill's, and about 12 or 14 with the same last name too.. Family owned business thou so that makes sense I suspose. It is kinda fun when one Dan is yelling across the shop for another Dan and I respond "Ya what ya need", of course the one yelling gets his panties in a bunch over that, he is a mean natured person, and I am thinking about about starting a petition to make him change his name, cause us Dan's are nice peoples not mean peoples. thanks for advice and new owner

Post by Hunter, Jonathan » Mon Apr 14, 2003 7:28 am

Just wanted to say thanks to those that responded with my question on whether or not to buy a nice condition 95 KLX650. I went with my gut (and everyone's advice) and bought a new A17 on Saturday. I pick it up Tuesday afternoon. I have looked at 4 area dealers and none were willing to budge on MSRP. On a whim, I drove an hour to another dealer. I went in ready to haggle, but also ready to lose. Neither happened. When I asked how much, the salesman says "List is $4999, best I can do is $4500." I'm thinking, not bad, how much is he going to spank me for set-up, prep, freight, air for tires, owners beer fund, and all the other charges. He says "Nope, we only quote out the door plus tax". So with no haggling, it was $4500 + tax, free helmet, and 15% any accessories. Where do I sign. Needless to say, I can't wait. Been on my XT225 for 2 years wanting the KLR. I still love the little XT, and my wife has decided she would like to keep it, but looking forward to a little more umph. First thing is to get it home, check all fasteners, chain, handlebar position, etc - then ride! Then of course come back and ask all the really important questions (you know, what oil to use, where to carry the Kimber, what tires to use, and what loud pipe to put on!) Thanks again for all the information here. Looking forward to being able to give a little back to the group now. Jon Hunter 00 XT225 03 KLR650 (32 hours and counting!)
