If you read the constitution, it actually says that people have the God-given right to speak their mind (endowed by their creator with these inalienable rights etc). It's a right, not a privilege. People who have either chosen to or been compelled to serve in the armed forces, are entitled to their opinion more than most. Anyone wearing a purple heart, can say anything they want about this country, how it's being run, and how it behaves as part of the world. Like Kerry.

Why? Because I'm not entitled to my opinion? Read the constitution, remember that thing you swore to defend when you signed up? Your attitude is un-american.

Are you pissed off that Kerry called bullsh*t on the entire Vietnam war? After all, we all know how well that worked out. (BTW remember it was JFK that first got us in there, not Nixon). Devon

Check your facts, Devon. My father, attached to Able Detachment of VAP 61, out of Agana, Guam, was sent to do aerial surveys of Viet Nam, Laos and Cambodia in 1957. I believe Eisenhower was in office then. The results of the aerial surveys (maps) were provided to American military advisors on the ground in those countries. I remember this well because the squadron lost one of the three aircraft deployed on their return. It went into the water within sight our our quarters on it's return. My best friend, lived next door, lost his dad that day. It wasn't until two or three years ago that my dad told me what they were doing over there. (BTW remember it was

Hey Devon, Another one.................Endowed by their Creator with these inalienable rights............was written by Thomas Jefferson for the Declaration of Independence, not James Madison's Constitution. You are absolutely right, each of us have the inalienable right to speak our thoughts, even the speaker is not in full control of his faculties!

Thanks. You weren't the only one to point that out. Though (as was pointed out to me) I likely confused it because JFK was the one who escalated our involvement WAY beyond advisors and reconaissance. My point of mentioning that in the first place, was to make it clear that it was not a partisan attack on past Republican administrations. Devon

Anyone that has been around the list knows Bill by his email handle. For myself, I agree with Bill's sentiments. I ride and come here to share that passion and I don't see where policitics comes into it. Pat G'ville, Nv [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
