Not weird to me, sorry. Yeah, not all things are predictably productive. When I hug a tree it often doesn't go beyond foreplay. Bogdan

I am still waiting for Andy Goldfien to finish my one piece Aerostich Roadcrafter made in the newest color selection...............the new Sunday Model Roadcrafer featuring black & white ballistics to EXACTLY replicate a Tuxedo and the new cumberbum ellipse for the K1200 riders. With the clip-on Goretex bowtie it is predicted it will be a hit with the Beemer crowd. I just need to know if it is proper to wear my new Sidi OnRoad Wingtips (in black of course) with this Sunday Roadcrafter, then I should be welcome at their Sunday brunches. "Why should everything be productive you damn capitalist? Also if you're under the illusion that many listers are productive members of this list or society in general you should face reality. Bogdan" Yeah, I'm a capitalist. So? As for productivity, I don't ask anybody to be productive, just thoughtful of other list members without being inflammatory. All I asked for was for explanations for why somebody feels the way they do about a particular subject, without the name calling. Why is that so wrong? Can't we all just get along? Cpt. Ron

New machine shop idea for Chris! Stop making rear disc-brake protectors in that nasty blue-collar aluminum stuff for that beastly common-man motorcycle. May I suggest a finely crafted and highly polished 304 stainless brie holder for the discriminating K1200 aficionado? RM

"This is the most beautiful display of irony I think I have ever witnessed...your letter demonstrates EXACTLY why we like to take the piss out of you guys! Relax, have a beer, realise that everyone will always have their own opinion but no-one is 'out to get you', practice laughing more, understand that its only a motorcycle (this'll get me shit) and that we are only on this planet for a very short time...don't be so goddamn serious!!" You intentionally try to "take the piss out of you guys"? Why? Who are "you guys"? I'd like to know if I'm one of them. And then you tell me I should relax? If I'm being personally attacked for what I ride or who I am (not that there's anything wrong with that. J.S.), why should I relax and not take it seriously? Hey, I'm a just motorcycle rider, that's all. I have no love affair with the BMW badge (there is a reason I'm selling mine, after all). I didn't even think that the original comments were directed towards me personally, since I actually ride my bikes (I also have two Hondas) instead of sitting around and talking about them. Rich, I enjoyed your humor about beemer riders (especially the train), mostly because I have witnessed the same thing, and I took it as humor. I just didn't like the prejudiced and inflammatory comments that were made by Mr. Bierdo, or at least I didn't see the humor in them. My owning and riding a BMW has nothing to do with my feelings about what he said. He could have said the same thing about Suzuki Savage riders, and I still would not have liked it. And I do realize that everyone has their own opinion, and I surely didn't try to change or even argue with it. I just asked for some support for that opinion, that's all. By the way, is it still considered a motorcycle if it's broken down? Cpt. Ron Sacramento, CA

(YES, you are a loser, he is a loser, I am a loser, we all losers, deal with it) We all suck to someone, you waste your energy messin with people who don't like somethin about you and you gonna die of exaustion. Cpt. Ron, Haven't had the opportunity to talk to many BMW owners. My riding is 90% pavement, 10% trails. Very little if any serious off road stuff anymore, the old knees just aren't as limber as they used to be. From the talk on this group, sounds like they have some fairly substantial performance problems that the dealers have trouble addressing. Thanks for the input. The wife & I moved to OK from S Cal. just over 2 years ago, we still get back that way time to time. Next trip might be on the bike, I'll look you up when we get out that way. Marshall in OK
