Heavy Metal and Hard Rock may be OK for you young dudes but for long distance riding. Nothing compares to Chris Rea's "Texas" from the CD "Road To Hell". The whole CD is traveling music! Ron -- --- Ronald Wells

mapping software (nklr)

I agree with the other two responses, but would like to point out that the Garmin s/w does NOT do routing (actually compute the route). DeLorme Street Atlas will do this pretty well, but I've found trying to let it load the route to the Garmin doesn't work all that well. There are, however, several utilities on the internet that communicate very nicely to BOTH the Garmin unit's and Street Atlas, G7toWin is my favorite, but there are others. What I've found that works VERY well for me, is to let Street Atlas do the route, then - "Make Line Object Out of Route", and then load the line object you created from the route as a track to the Garmin (using G7toWin, or similar), and then use the Garmin TrackBack feature to turn it into a route. I do this very often, and find it to work very well. I can see the route I'm trying to follow as a very detailed *track line* on the map screen, and have the TrackBack route to show ETA's, distance to travel, etc. I can explain this in better detail if anyone is intersted.
