Maybe these guys? http://www.tiresdirectusa.com/tires.asp?vendorcode=1 They're charging about $145 for a set. I never bought from these guys, but will consider them when I get my next set of tires ($58 for a set of Kendas!). Their prices extremely low on all of the brands that I checked. Porter,
I checked Mark's suggestion of TIRESDIRECTUSA & noticed that
they charge $8-$15 per tire for shipping.
Dennis Kirk has free shipping on orders over $100. They will
meet a competitor's lower price, but WITHOUT free shipping.
They have excellent service and fast delivery. Other listers
have reported that M.A.W. has eratic service to go along with
their lower prices.

I have some questions regarding tires??
I have a A 14 and have put 11,000 kilometers on it (still riding it in the
winter) I now have some nice sport bike race tires running down the middle of
the tire (Bald) the tire is the OEM dunlop, is this normal tread life??? no i
haven't done any burnout's, am i going to be buying a set of rears once a
year??
I know most of you guys/girls use dual purpose tires, does anyone have any
recommendations on tires?? id like a 90 street / 10 off tire or all street, I
would like to go more then a year before i have to change this tire again.
Can i go to a 150/60 or 70??/ 17 will it fit??? mileage is the key factor,
then price then traction. Do i need a radial or bias ply?? what do i have
now?? its dark i cant see outside.
im sending along a pic, dont ask where i got it, i dont remember, if it is
someone's im sorry. This bike is more towards what im getting at, (yes I know
my big greenie is seeing red) but oh well. If anyone can point me more
towards this type of tire, id be much appreciated

'fraid so Talon.
11k km is 6,800 miles which is about what I made out of my first two sets of OEM
dunlop rears. It was about the same for my next 3 sets of Bridgestone
Trialwings.
Im now on Pirelli MT90's. Paid about 20pct more. Heres hoping for at least 20pct
more Life!

I just replaced my rear OEM tire with a Metezler Enduro 4. I ride 90% street, 10% dirt. I wanted the Metezler Tourance, but could not find one. The Enduro 4 is a steel radial and is expected to give me 10,000 or more miles (the stocker gave me 5,000 miles). I would stay with the stock sizes. I got a flat once and before I could stop, the tire wore through the chain guard, I think things are close enough now without putting a wider tire on... I am going to replace the front tire with the Metezler Enduro 4 as soon as I get some $ together. == Rev. What is the best tire size for the KLR 650? I have a 510x17 and it
needs to be replaced soon. I see 510x17, 130/80/17 and 140/80/17 and
even a 120/90/17. What is correct. The 510 seems too wide.

The 5.10 is the tire width in inches. The 130 is mm. Both will work on the KLR as they are relatively the same width. Therefore the 120 is a size smaller and the 140 is a size larger.

I'm nearly ready to buy my first replacement set of tires for my KLR.
I'm looking for 50/50 street/dirt or maybe a little more dirt bias.
Among those I'm considering are Avon Gripsters, Pirelli MT70's, Maxxis
M-6006's, and Kenda 270's. Any thoughts? And is there any reason not
to get Moose Heavy Duty Tubes? Thanks.
