<><><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><><><> Robert, Below are a few ideas I'd try but first a note about terminology. You mention your bike won't start. To me that means the starter motor cranks but the engine has a fuel, ignition or compression problem. From part of your post I realize you mean it won't crank. Huge difference when trying to supply some helpful advice in the correct direction. First I'd check the clutch safety switch and make sure it was working correctly. Then if I was troubleshooting a problem like this I'd probably pull the tank and take a look at the wiring. Especially grounds. That relay buzzing could be a relay hunting for a ground. I'd turn the bars and watch the wiring and see what it was doing. If it gets tight and then cranks I'd follow the stress and figure out where the issue was. Maybe a wire is getting pulled out of a connector except when the bars are to the right. I'd maybe even turn the lights off so I could watch for sparks. : ) Haven't done that on a bike since this afternoon. If nothing just popped out at me I'd check connections to make sure they were all secure. I'd probably unplug and replug all the multi pin connectors behind the black plastic cover below the instrument cluster and behind the headlight. Next I'd get out the multimeter and check for power at the solenoid and make sure those connections were good. I think we found a loose connection on Martin Earl's bike two years ago. I found the heavy wires just a tad loose on my bike a few months earlier than that. Don't over tighten the nuts holding the heavy wires as those are some small studs and not replaceable. Also, if you haven't disconnected the negative battery cable be careful with a wrench on the "hot" or battery side of the solenoid as if you touch it and the frame that's like laying a wrench across the battery terminals. Another place I might consider looking is at the wires coming off the battery to see if I had any poor connections. There are two fuses and maybe put a meter on them and wiggle wires to see if you have a problem there. Sent from my iPad A starting problem I have had, even after bypassing the clutch safety switch and sidestand switch....so ordered a new starter button switch yesterday as the bike was not reliable. Last night and this morning I jiggled the wires where they come into the starter button. It starts??? Criswell
