anything new on converting to tubeless?

Only problem is that Hylomar won't seal if there are any imperfections in the surface - scratches etc. Other than that, it's great stuff. 50 year mechanic and machinist.

I found Hylomar on ebay through a parts house in Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area. It comes as a squeeze tube and a spray. I bought several tubers and 'spread' it around the Black Hills riding community. revmaaatin.

Re: Air filter cleaning: If they used any "oil-based-oil" (read: not NoToil), I find the best thing to clean them with is "Purple Power" or "Simple Green". It will take the oil and dirt right off and will not affect the foam or the glue that holds it together. I saturate the filter in the cleaner, let it sit so the cleaner does the work (not me). Then rinse it in the sink, when the wife's not home, of course. Pat dry with a towel (also best done when the wife's not home) and let it air dry. I then re-oil it and put it in a plastic bag so it will be ready for next time. -Jeff Khoury

I ended up buying Uni cleaning solution in a spray can. It worked great. I had to do it twice, but it's clean now. I couldn't find the NoToil hereabouts, so I used what the Kawa dealer suggested. I use motor oil. That's what it says to use in the manual and it's far less expensive than those sprays. -Jeff Khoury

Robert, I saw your question about the Tubliss product. I had been in contact last year with the owner of that company. I asked him when they will be making the 17 inch size for the back wheel of KLR650's. At that time, he said he would be making them in a new factory this month.
