Kevin-- My observation in my 1998 suburban-- Use 10% ethanol and get >10% less gas mileage. Isn't that a bargain? revmaaatin.

+1 My KLR gets 10% less gas mileage with E10, so I am totally wasting the ethanol, the corn grown to make it, the energy required to create it and get it to the tank of the KLR, and last and not least, the government subsidies given to create it a net loss all around. Its not about fuel mileage, they use e10, or oxygenated fuel to reduce polution. Even getting crappy mileage you still put out far less polution. I have one car that gets 15 mpg less with the stuff. It use to be a summer only fuel here, now its year round. I also have a keep that it doesnt effect. Neither joes towing, or driving around with a lead foot or feather foot.

This seems like strange logic.... We burn more fuel for less pollution? That's after we use the gas in the tractor and petrochemicals to make pesticide/fertilizer for the corn. I think Dooden for Prez might be an idea I can support. I think ethanol is only economically feasible for farmers due to government subsidy. Jim a5
