low cost steel footpegs?
I needed BOTH the offset and the spline readjustment to work on my
White's boots, but it did mess up the back brake. I now use the back
brake with my heel. Is that legal?

klr headlight-bulb replacement madness
I'll give it a shot. The clip is not meant to be removed but swings and
latches like a gate. If you remove the bulb try to reattach the clip so the
one side has two hinge points. Then the clip will swing and you can see how
it will latch. Now insert the bulb, swing the clip and latch it. Then once
it is secure put on the wire plug.

Subject: [DSN_KLR650] KLR Headlight-Bulb Replacement Madness
So i was very ambitious this weekend and decided to r4eplace the stock bulb
wth a very nice 100w bulb from Fred.
I got to say it was a b***ch to take off. There is a wire/clamp there that
holds the lightbulb in place so it doesnt move inside the headlight.
So it was hard to take off but impossible to put back on.
I must have spent an hour and a half and couldnt get it back on. I did not
take pics while i was taking it off so i had no referance.
Long story short i gt very frustrasted, put the lightbulb in, placed the
rubber cover on it, tied it all up with some wire so that it stays in there
and had a drink.
Now i know that if the bulb moves its gonna die.
Can anyone help me?
Does the clamp go under the rubber and which way do i place it?
Its probably impossible to explain by email.
Its great, the light points directly at the drivers rear veiw mirror.....
Someone is probably gonna kill me soon
Thanks for your help,
David

low cost steel footpegs?
Just to follow up on this thread....I went down to my Suzuki dealer today to get the DR650 footpegs below and found they were out of stock and would be $100CDN to order in. IMS Pro pegs are cheaper than that and available in Canada so I'll probably go that route as I can't see any advantage to Suzuki pegs if they aren't cheaper.

I live on an island in Canada so Ebay [a lot of vendors don't ship to Canada and when they do they charge a ton of $$] and Craig's List are not as useful as they are in the US. I'm also not desperate to save a few $$. If there was an easy convenient option [like the DR650 pegs were for my '97 KLR] I'd take it. Since there doesn't appear to be I'll just get some IMS pegs next time I am ordering something from a Canadian dualsport vendor.
