what kind of atf for forks?
When refilling my XL600V's forks after installing new springs, I dumped in
what I had leftover from my old Civic - Honda ATF.
I don't think it really matters. Get a couple of bottles of Castrol or
Valvoline Dextron and pour away!
It's cheap. So, if it isn't to your liking, can be swapped out reasonably
quick.
Now, for the $10,000 question: Whose bright idea was it to omit fork drains
on newer bikes? Dang bean counters! Grrrrr.

VI. The weight of ATF is around 10. Just use the same in both forks.> > Any trans fluid would work and it isn't necessary to pay up for Dexron
