I see what you are saying. This was originally Cali. bike but all that was
promptly removed as soon as I got it home to Idaho. I tried an experiment
tonight and thought I would put a paper towel over that inlet, in the top
rear left side of the air box. That inlet does not have a screen over it of
any kind.The towel was enought to choke the air flow off to the carb that it
wouldn't run. So, I took a 3/8 drill bit and punched a bunch of holes just
along and parallel to the seam on the left and along the shoulder of the air
filter access panel. When I covered those new holes up with my hand, I could
FEEL the air sucking in.
