Heheh! Well, if He can turn water into wine, surely He can cause a KLR to go 115mph at 5000 rpm with a 14 tooth front sprocket, right? :-). _E

Sometimes when He is really feeling feisty, and makes double wides and parked cars move even faster. :) R

You may be the fastest but who is the quickest? I can't say that I am but as a starting point for discussion I have a receipt from an actual dragstrip where I ran a 14.9 @ 80+ in the quarter mile. Our local dual sport group makes a trip once a year to the strip for fun and bragging rights. Good point Terry! A local 'blow-hard' said to me, "My bike will out run anything you got!" "Really? Do you mind if I choose the course?" Silence in 3.2 secs....which is slightly faster than 14.9, shrug, and I never even dropped the hammer.... Best drag race I never ran. smile. revmaaatin. who wonders if a KLR with K270's would make a very good drag bike.

Is that on the KLR stock speedo ? or on GPS? or even timed over a fixed distance? Your tires (@ 100MPH ) probably stretch in diameter (and also circumference) 5-10%, if the air pressure is low enough, added to the gear-ratio inaccuracies of the stock speedo to begin with and you were probably not even breaking triple digits. Maybe you fitted a 20 tooth sprocket in front ? or a 32 on the wheel ?
