makes good sense and I also forgot about the clutch slippage dynamic..better just apply the principle to my tractor/loader gearcases.. thanks,Jay

What > say you? Jay, I don't understand how you got from "STP solving problems with water in the oil" to "wouldn't STP be great for motorcycles?" STP has a lot of additional detergents which can help disperse/suspend water, possibly being the solution to the problem your logging friend faced.
