manuals

Post by lokiyaya007 » Mon Feb 04, 2002 11:12 am

Just to keep everyone at ease, I do not plan on photocopying anything from the Kaw manual or any other manual, I plan on making this manual from scratch taking photos and listing steps and tools as I put my bike back together, and info already available from various websites with authors permission. Any sources I get info from will be credited in a bibliography, example torque settings part #'s etc. fluids etc. I currently dont have any manuals in my posession so even if I could I don't have access to such information. All info will be gathered from the list, personal experiences and other listers experience. I have digital cams that I will use to take such photos, If you want to help please do This is something I think needs to be done and will answer and save a lot of questions to the list. I purchased my service manuals for my KLR 2002 today. The suplement manual states it covers 1987-1995. Is this the correct manual? Were there any changes from 1995-2002? Thanks for any help. TC [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

After having 8 motorcycles and their respective factory manuals, I can't remember any manuals worse than the factory klr setup. They're very incomplete, torque values are hard to find and spread all over the manual, and don't really have much in the 'how-to' realm. I have the clymer and I have a much easier time with that than the factory "set". Oh, and the stupidity of having the 2 manual setup is obvious. Luckily for me Kawasaki didn't do that on my zr-7s. I'm sure other people have experienced otherwise but if I had to pick one, I'd go with the 'autographed' clymer !! ===== Sammamish, WA '94 klr650 '03 ZR-7S '86 klr250 '86 yam it200n KLR 650 FAQ's http://www.bigcee.com/klr650faq.html __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Whoops! You would probably like to know that it's white, and it's a large. 7 1/4 - 7 3/8. MrMoose
