I think you are referring two Suzuki's SV650(S) and V Strom 650 ("Wee-Strom") and the SV1000(S) and the V-Strom 1000. I believe these have been extremely successful pairings for Suzuki. The SV650S is a great little sport bike and popular track day bike for many folks. I think Kawasaki is trying to do the same thing (spin off several variants) of its new vertical twin 650. The Euro model shown does not look like a real dual sport however which is not to say that a true twin dual sport might appear some time.
