another bad dealer experience (long)

Keep in mind the Internet is a great levelor of dealer arrogance. Once you get that screwed over feeling and do a little research you soon find that your dependence on a dealer can be minimal. Unscrupulous dealers eventually perish from their greed especially in an economic down cycle. The good ones survive. Witness Fred at Arrowhead, who has no brick an mortar presence yet provides parts nationwide that are known to work along with intangible knowledge. People are willing to pay for that. I often try to shortcut and support the local Kaw guy and end up paying as much or more and often it ends up being the wrong stuff. My last connection to my dealer is for changing tires on tubeless rims. They seem to have mastered that and I haven't - yet. -svt- __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
