seat height

I would hazard to bet the front forks were raised in the triple clamps. I have noticed about 3" of fork sticking out the top triple clamp on most KLRs on showroom floors. The manual indicates the forks should be flush with the top of the triple clamp. John --- taffrail wrote:

seat height

I have a friend shopping for a bike for his wife who is quite short. Using all the tricks available - biggest lowering links, dished out Corbin seat, etc. - what is the lowest seat height one could achieve with the KLR? suspension travel is not an issue and she wighs next to nothing and does not ride aggressively. thanks.

My A16, with most of the stock plastic gone and the gastank now a translucent IMS piece, is now even more bestest due to my trimming of the front fender due to crashes and fork brace impacts. Also, when it is dirty the remaining green (fenders only) looks even more perfect than the upcoming A21. A16 is the bestest! :-) Michael T A16 lasvegasrider -----Original Message----- From: Rick McCauley [mailto:ramachm12@...] Sent: Saturday, February 19, 2005 12:48 PM To: dsn_klr650@yahoogroups.com Subject: Re: [DSN_KLR650] Re: Re:: A19 vs other models Yep Red is for stop and green is for go go GO!! If you were even nearly as humble as we A18 owners, you'd know how difficult it is to even mention that your A17 is not quite up to the mark, old chap! Green! Frogs are green and frogs don't sink in swamps. Now consider red! Stop signs are red and they never go into swamps. There. I've run rings around you logically! Actually it might be a good idea to organize a humility contest so you could see how truly superior we really are in that regards. Off to the cottage for the weekend. KLR isn't allowed as there's just too much snow and ice there. Whine, snivel.... Norm
