klr manuals

Ethics... Well myself has been debating buying these disks. My reasoning is that I own the kawi manuals. Even document protected them. and use them whenever i open the motor. But it would be worth x amount of dollars to have someone scan these docs onto a cd for my personal use. what to do???

Well, that's not same thing. If you already own a legal copy of the paper manuals then you ARE essentially paying someone to scan them for your own use if you buy the CDs. In fact, on the one copy I've seen, there was a legal disclaimer printed on the CD cover that said essentially that. But what percentage of people who buy those CDs actually own a copy of the paper manuals? I doubt there would be any money in it if that were the only market for the CDs. That's why I raised the question of ethics. Randy

Kawasaki told me that the Clymer manual is a reprint of older. late model KLR650 factory manuals, minus some of the less important information. I bought the Clymer manual from Overstock.com (about $20) and am very pleased with it

Who ever told you that is wrong. The Clymer KLR manual is from the ground up a new and original publication. Fred http://www.arrowheadmotorsports.com http://www.angelfire.com/ut/moab/cmc.html

Has anyone used this bag ( http://revpack.com/motorcycle/products/TourPack.html ) on a KLR? Is it a good fit or is the Wolfman alfa a better choice? Skiff

..............Absolutely two totally different approaches to servicing. They compliment each other nicely and I recommend both.......the Kawi set for diagrams and torque values, and the Clymers for procedures and pictures. Supplemented with this list and members' web pages, there's not much anyone can't do to a KLR themselves. How'd the harvest go, Fred? Steve The Mule A17

Have to agree with you, used mine last night to fix my headlight mount issue. Denis A14
