I will call my ISP today. I am supposed to have a 128kb/sec connection
at work, but it is performaing WAY below this speed and I don't just
mean right now when there's traffic.

after market shifters, why?
I just got off the KLR with the new shifter from Dual Star. In what
is close to the stock position it works fine with my size 13 Tech
8's.. It does not have to be raised one spline.
It is way better than the stock shifter for solid shifts!!!
The stock shifter would bend (I now can realize this) just enough to
cause a sloopy shift feeling and miss some shifts. This will be a
great change. It does not fit my boots as good as my stock KLX400
(Green DRZ400) and when I change between bikes I will expect a few
miles of reorientation.
I highly recommend a after market shifter even if the old one is not
ready to break, just for the solidness of the shifts.
