I've got these and yes, they work pretty well. The image, or reflection, jiggles a little over bumps and so forth. For $10 it's definitely worth it.

The fairing will straighten up easily. I removed the plastic fairing piece and tugged on the faring supports to get it straight again but you could probably straighten it w/o removing the plastic. I got anal about it and took measurements to ensure it was straight Sean Smith Louisiana '04 R1150RT (For Sale) '03 KLR650 I can try that. Yep, the cheap mirror mounts are a POS in my opinion. I had my left mirror come off in my hand a 70mph while I was adjusting it. I tossed the mirror mounts in the trash after that ride. John Lyon --- Fred Hink wrote:

My 2004 and a friends both had the fairing crooked, but to the left. If you loosen the two front bolts that hold the fairing frame to the bike frame ( directly in front of the serial # decal on the right side of bike),you can move the fairing a small amount. If someone else holds the front wheel tightly, you can pull hard on the fairing and then retighten the bolts. Mine is still a couple of degrees off center, but there was no more play. And then I too had a few more beers and didn't care. Steve

I have the mirror vibration isolators and they do work fairly well. They raise the height of the mirrors about 3/4" so I am not looking at my shoulders and the vibration is cut in half. I can now tell the difference between a Volkswagen and a Peterbilt. Douglas Dick Winnipeg MB mailto:ddick2@... I agree, I bought them too and they work quite well for what they are. My mirrors wobble now instead of turning into a blur, and I can see behind me. One thing I'll also suggest is that the mirror mounts can be adjusted. I did a lot of twiddling rotating them on the bars, rotating the actual mirrors themselves, etc. to get the best view behind me (rather than of my shoulders).

Well, mine was dropped, but even after I unbent the left fairing bracket as best I could, my fairing is still crooked. I'm going to follow the advice elsewhere on how to straighten the fairing, but I'm suspecting that if I ever want my fairing straight again, I'm going to have to get a new bracket. (And I do want it straight when I add a Clearview windshield to the thing, else the windshield will be going down the road crooked!). Eric Green http://badtux.net/ mailto:eric@...
