I am 5/8 and 215pounds. The KLR is stock. I plan to adventure tour with the KLR. I don't plan to do much heavy duty off road thrashing with the KLR. I started out my cycling on a YZ8 and may pick up a dedicated dirt bike in the future if I feel the need for heavy duty dirt petting. I took the KLR off road today for a few miles of farm equipment access trail and gravel roads. The KLR felt pretty natural and sure footed. Although one of the radiator gaurd screws and washers worked its way out during a section of washboard gravel road during the shakedown. I added a lockwasher to the fender washer and screw. Next stop may be to add loctite. Mike T wrote:
