I've already cut that to almost 0, thanks to Mr. Cholesterol. But it probably takes just as much oil-fed grain to grow the turkeys I eat instead. Is it just a coincidence that some of the big 'farmers' in California's central valley are oil companies? I ate some 'real' grass-fed beef a few years back in Ireland and it was excellent. Their dairy products are killer, too. It's pretty sick what the food industry can get away with calling food in this country. __Arden

Your right Steve, I'm totally a myth that exsists only in the fertile mind of dooden. Dave (dooden's myth) A12 "Steve Green " wrote: Mr. D.Gay, How do I know you are not "another of the many myths that rattle around the the cyber-trail, and like most it is all bullshit" Just wondering? And BTW you obviously DO give a "F____". Like I stated before ... I have no idea if it is true. Steve

Hey Man, I keep my thermostat at 58F. Cold, but cheap. I can't heat it any less 'cause that's as low as my thermostat will go.

I'm not saying that we shouldn't recycle, but only 10% of the petroleum in the us (domestic and imported) is used in the manufacture of plastics. I find that to be kinda surprising. I'm no tree-hugger by any extent of the imagination, but what really peeves me is the throw-away society we live in. Nobody bothers to fix anything anymore, they just chuck it and buy a new one. What makes it worse it that manufacturers design things to be non-serviceable. Mark B2 A2 A3

Buy whatever you'd like dooden, I've already made Steve pissy, so by all means buy your Canadian pot. Which is probably brought in from Sweden by Amoco. "dooden " wrote:David is ok with you if I do buy gas at Citgo which is on that list as a non-Middle Eastern Oil Importer ? The gas station is the closest and the coffee is good. Oh long as im at it, how about the Pot, Canada is a whole lot closer and sells some good weed, can I just buy it from them if I so choose ? I will leave the other things to the peoples in the larger cities to support. Okay Dokey ? Dooden Also is not Amoco and BP the same anyway ? Maybe Amoco bought BP so they can import all the oil under BP, then Amoco can buy it from BP and say they are buying the oil from the UK ? BP is still British Petro. right ?

or BC Skunk, purchased at the bottom of the steps to Wreck Beach by a gringo on a BMW. Some nice naked Canadian girls offered me the use of their rolling papers, so I bought them some beer and got them nice and drunk.

Human incidence of CJD (mad cow), cancer, auto-immune disorders, diabetes, obesity, etc. all have roots in the use of cannibalized feed, steroids, hormones, anti-biotics, and now genetic modification, etc. to produce the Franken-beef that is ubiquitous. > > Would you like to spend double what you're paying now, for > beef? How about double what you're paying now for gasoline? > > I, for one, would pay more for real grass-fed beef. .............I tried a Wagyu (aka Kobe) rib-eye steak for the first time last year. It was about one pound and cost $67, and it was worth it. Salted cast iron pan seared each side au-poivre 3 minutes (one inch thick).........it was THE best steak I've had in my life! At those prices, one is liable to indulge in moderation. And when one does, it's clean and natural beef. The Mule

That Steve is the problem, We won't give up products we want or do any thing that is going to cause us any real pain, until we are absolutely forced to, and even then we'll whine about it till hell frezzes over. P.S. Bought that new 'Guzzi yet? Svantwuyver wrote:What you are really saying is that Americans consume about 660 million barrels more than is produced stateside. Boycotts of products with near infinite demand are meaningless. You need your medicine and so do your vehicles -- even if it comes from people that want to kill you.
