Oh yeah, I forgot to mention in my last post that to get the KLR to do anything useful in the dirt you have to lower the gearing. I put a 14t front sprocket on and it made a world of difference. I have done 350+ mile days with it on the highway with that gearing as well and it still works ok. To me the difference between the stock gearing and the the 14t on the highway is numb butt and number butt so it's kind of a wash. -- Dave Morrow IS Manager R.E.Warner & Associates Westlake, Ohio 440-835-9400

They aren't slow. They idle just fine. In some ways they are a perfect mix of simplicity and sophistication. Kick start only, air cooled, two valves, maintainance-free electronic ignition, battery optional. One of the best handling bikes of their day, and still good in the twisties even now. And, I'd rather have a SRX-600 also, but I've never even seen one for sale in my area. :) Dave (sorta remembering the past) > > > > > > > TLrydr@... wrote:In a message dated 9/17/02 10:27:16 PM Central Daylight Time, davidlg76@... writes: > > Ken, If you like SR-500's check out Devon's sometime.
