I for one would like to see a lot more female involvement in d/s riding.
Less likely to put on a screamingly loud pipe for no reason, or injure
themselves from testosterone poisoning.
More likely to flush the toilet before leaving the bathroom.

More than a few here in the Grey Norwet. Several KLR Grrls and some Beemer Grrls as well. There are more that I haven't met, of
course.
Several that I know ride the hell out of their bikes. Faster than Me!
Best, m.

WHATEVER ! .................... devon ...
I hope you don't call yourself a man .
If your a gal, more power to you. Just don't tell me how to have fun.
Loud pipes aren't my kind of thing, but I have nothing against them. ( most riders put on a pipe for performance, not noise)
Nothing wrong with a little testosterone. wearing the proper gear , it can be a hell of a lot of fun. ( besides, women like a little
testosterone from time to time)
And for the record , I always flush the toilet. Even if I do have to kick it with my foot, due to a filthy bathroom.
So, don't get your panties in a bunch, Go out & have some fun .

John,
You don't live anywhere near Middletown, NY or Thomaston Dam, CT do
you? We should go riding sometime and you can decide for yourself.
BTW "testosterone poisoning" is killing or maiming yourself because you
were thinking with your balls and not your head. Wearing the proper gear
and carrying on in a proper place pretty much means you're already using
your head. I know all about it since it basically explains most of the
crashes I've had on the street.
As for folks with extremely loud pipes, whether you want to admit it or
not, they are f*cking things up for the rest of us by making insane
amounts of noise for no reason. In my 12 years of riding (short time
compared to many I admit) I have run across a mere handful of people who
could ride a bike to 10/10ths of its capability and therefore maybe
could actually use the extra power. And most of them only fit open pipes
to their race bikes. The rest are basically posing. Those who killed a
brutal Tweety infestation by buying an aftermarket exhaust are excused,
can pass GO and try and get their $200 back.
Besides the foot flush (a move I know well), what's the dirtiest place
in a public bathroom? The inside doorknob.

Zeess eess boolsheeet....and unfortunately a naive view of human nature. I'll bet more riders ( especially cruiser types ) loose performance with load pipes than gain. Bogdan> ( most riders put on a pipe for performance, not noise) >

I would agree. Quiet, Small, Good Power. Pick any two. Sometimes you can
get all three by throwing a LOT of money at the project. Witness the
17liter muffler on the Yamaha Road Star Warrior or whatever the hell
they call it.
Since race pipes are designed to primarily give more top-end power, even
though your peak HP goes up, the power available where you do 90% of
your street riding (1st 3rd of throttle travel, midrange RPM) goes down.
Note that this does not describe anything you see on a dyno chart- those
are almost always done at full throttle.
A lot of people genuinely believe that loud pipes are a safety issue,
and since they see a lot of heads turn as they ride by that is logical.
Unfortunately, the guy in a well-sealed new car with the radio on can't
hear you until you're right alongside. I have been the guy on the bike,
AND been the guy in the car. If the car windows are rolled up, loud
pipes are totally useless from a safety standpoint.
Over the last 16,000mi my KLR has changed from sounding like a riding
mower, to a riding mower with the packing blown out of the muffler.

I don't know any dual sporting females, but there is a smoking hot
brunette in my office building who rides an Aprilia Mille RSV-R. Not
sure if it gets much better than that.
