You get what you pay for. I have been burned by mailorder discount places one too many times. That's why I purchase from dealership or shops almost exclusively. Gino

Fred is one of the few honest retailers I have had the pleasure of dealing with over the years. I've dealt with Fred on numerous occasions and will continue to do so. He has gone above and beyond for me many times to find the info or parts I needed for my KLX. Keep up the good work Fred. Your prices are fair and reasonable and you should never have to apologize for making a living, no one is in business to break even. Just my .02 worth, Marshall in Afton, Ok '95 KLXC3 "Blackhorse" (in honor of those who served)

I don't know about that. I was in the area in September, and decide to go look at their shop. I have not seen a Chaparral catalog in a long time, just the ads they run in MC mags. I was very disappointed, both with the variety and prices at their shop. Yes, it''s a big place, but the choices were limited, and the prices seemed to be in line with what dealers in the Portland, OR area charge. For those who are local to my area, I thought Beaverton Honda/Yamaha has as good (or better) selection of gear. Not to mention the privilege of paying CA sales tax for the in store transaction (no sales tax in OR or when ordering by mail). Lots of squid stuff, though. I guess they are much better as a catalog outfit, at least from the ads I had seen in the mags. Gustavo

You're right in that most of their stuff is level with a typical moto retailer. The best deals that I've found seem to be their tires, chains, Renthal bars, and Hein Gericke gear. They sometimes do pretty good on consumables, like EBC 'R' brake pads for $20. RM

Is that a local shop or is it mail-order? That's a pretty good price. I paid $130 for mine.

He had the bars rotated so far back that they hit the tank at full lock. I like mine pretty far forward (slightly more forward than if they were on the same angle as the forks themselves). Helps for on-the pegs riding for me. BTW I'm 6'1" fully dressed to ride. dat brooklyn bum
