How do the long ridin people here keep from gettin dehydrated? I'm thinkin about buying and trying out one of those back pouches with the straw that bicyclists use, but other than that, I cannot think of anything that would keep me going that doesn't include stopping. Any other ideas or solutions? > Thanks, > DXK > > "December Seventh, 2001- a date which will pass unnoticed- Absolutely nothing of interest happened." -DXK

I go for day-long rides in the desert around Tucson, AZ where temps
get over 100. I always take a daypack that has a waste band to keep
it from moving around alot. I take two two-liter camelbacks and
drape the hoses out of one side of the top zipper then under the
shoulder strap of the day pack. When one pouch runs out of water, I
switch them. I carry a lot of other things in the pack, like a first
aid kit, tire tools, food, ball cap to cover my sweaty head when I
take my helmet off, wallet, sun glasses, etc. I really don't notice
the weight because I am concentrating so much on the ride. The KLR
isn't a trials bike, but I try. You can buy water bags CHEAP at
Aerostitch http://www.aerostich.com/riderwearhouse.store click
on "keep cool" under offroad riding. I think I will buy a couple,
myself. Have fun, stay hydrated.

mexico gps coordinates?
Gentlemen,
I have signed up to go to the Copper Canyon with Rosen's Rides in October,
and am looking for GPS coordinates for the area. I am having trouble
waiting
patiently for Rosen to send their list of data. Is anyone else on the list
going then? Does anyone have any GPS data they would be willing to share?
Better yet, does anyone know of any GPS software that covers the area?
I have Map Source World Map, and it is pretty inadequate.
