the truth about jennifer - fireball did it - nklr

Good un, Stewart. I found it an interesting experiment also. Some of the reactions of listers were surprising to me. I still am basically a naive old fashioned person. I don't mean because you fooled me, I was just surprised at the quantity of chauvinistic remarks, sexual innuendoes, and direct comebacks to a seemingly nice person that was not obviously fishing. Certainly, some of it was from those who new damned well there was something fishy, but I still found all these responses curious. You see, I would not hesitate to tell Jennifer to go fuck herself if appropriate, but would never consider asking her for one. I am old fashioned, I guess. I do like to screw with people's minds when I write, but I try to limit it to making people think by harmlessly offending them or stirring them up. Yours was a completely different approach that borders on causing pain to people that really care about other people. A good soap opera with a horrific ending is only good when everyone knows it's just a soap opera. I think your scheme was brilliant, and it resulted in some really interesting and educational responses, and made a lot of us look deeper into our feelings about our everyday interactions with women that operate within our realm of interest. However, I think we'd all and even enjoyed and maybe even respected you for an "April Fool" ending, rather that the one you chose. All right . . . you've pulled a shitty on us, you've owned up to it; apologized for it; now it's time to see how good you really are. Put on your thinking cap and come up with another one that we can all enjoy . . . all the way to an uproariously funny and astonishing gotcha. Don't let this cramp your style! I'll be watching for it. Just my opinion, and I'm crazy. regards, -- bierdo fireball@... wrote:

So Des Cartes walks into a bar, the bartender asks can I pour you a beer. Des Cartes answers "I think not" and then promptly vanishes! Morgan

Pieces everywhere, with yapping, snarling Mexican dogs streaming to the crash site! Instead, we tried to be sensitive, by mentioning Jennifers family. Fireball
