Not a bad concept Nick, it occurs to me that I kinda do something
like that occaisionally and hadn't thought about it. (Get cagers
attention focused on M/C riders for a bit.) Example:
I was riding down the single lane gravel mountain road from the
Marble quarry near Marble, Colorado and caught up to a pick-up that
had stopped to (presumedly) enjoy the view. Just before I caught up
they started moving again and then began to slow and pull to the
right. It really looked like they were giving me space to let me pass.
As I came about even with the rear bumper at about 10mph, the truck
began moving back onto the road. I had a choice to slow or speed up,
I almost instinctively "gunned it" past them. I waved a thank you
after passing, but also thought that the driver had not seen me until
I was next to his window. If so I may have shocked him a little. At
the time I wasn't happy about that possibility, however, NOW I think
it may have a more positive effect. I'll bet he started looking
behind him for bikers, at least for a few minutes. I may have saved a
fellow biker some grief! I feel much better.
Of course maybe he was purposely trying to run me off the road!
Hmmm.....where's my thigh holster?
