2008 klr for sale
Sorry if I am not supposed to post a bike for sale in the general list, it has been too long since I read the rules, and I just get the digest every few days in my mail.
I have my 2008 KLR, Blue and black. 13,000 miles, in very good shape, a few scrapes on the plastic and a crack or two in the plastic from where I spun out in a deep gravel corner at about 15 mph, well about 0 by the time I fell over.
Anyway, it has a few farkles, mostly protective plates, but a nice sargent seat. I will try to figure out how to post photos.
Good Hideneau tires, with lots of miles left on them. I change the oil spring and fall whether it needs it or not. And clean and oil the air filter a lot. Less than a year old Yusa maintenance free battery, kept on a smart trickle changer when not riding. I ride only about once a month.
Not sure if the “doo” has been done. But I am told that is less necessary on a 2008 or newer. Previous owner may have done that, but I didn’t want to open it up to check since I would have to get new gasket or something.
Asking $3700.
Selling so I can pay for a nice 50th birthday surprise for my wife.
In the St. Louis Area.
Email me for photos or questions.
Peter

Thanks.

If you want to copy that stuff and put it in one in that site that you can add your stuff to that is fine but the list should be kept in the files section rather than on some other site. I like dropbox but this is DSN and I created the original list and put it there because it was information gained from and for this group. I agree that Yahoo is a dated sight, that's an understatement actually, but it will be up to the list originators to move it and the content we created for it when they deem it necessary. When and if they do move this to an updated site file editing will be easier ---In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, wrote : I have added some items to the parts list: Fuel SystemKLR250 (manual) petcock is a direct swap for the 650 & vice versa. 250 petcock is manual, 650 is vacuum operated.
