The files will be a mess for some time and likely of limited use until arranged, cleaned up, labeled, and the junk deleted.
That said, here's a link to the folder in case something there might be of interest or use: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/uqe1uafuxxbdo5q/AAA4FpN5cjKBAijZEctbedrva?dl=0
Here is the Gen1 link which is in useful condition but subject to improvement: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/uha92pqkxq4eoaw/AABwFh5AIevN4dlJeZUitdjsa?dl=0 I'm stuck as to how to improve this information because I don't know what problems others have in access or using the information. I don't generally need much of this for my own work here so only trying to produce some reference to help others. Thoughts or suggestions are welcome.
It takes a couple of weeks of full time work to do one of these so depending on time and on how hard I'm pounding my head on the wall.....

Norm,
This is off list.
On KLR650.net a guy I was trying to help last week figured out some of
his Gen I wiring issues by using your Gen I wiring harness work. He said
he accessed it through the facebook pages. He wasn't very electrical
smart so your work made a big difference in his life.
Best,
Jeff

If he has any observations as to what might make it more usable, I would be grateful. I'm working on the Gen2 version and since it took me about 2 weeks of full time work, I'm a bit guarded as to the motivation. Not much feedback so not altogether certain that it was the best use of my time, given that I don't need most of the detail.
I'm also very concerned to see if there is some aspect which should be changed before I get too far into the Gen2 version so as not to have two which miss the mark. I recall vividly from my curriculum design and operations documentation work that it is far more difficult to find the motivation to redo something.
I'm not looking for compliments, in fact a recent thread in one area has me so embarrassed over the compliments that I'm finding it difficult to post there, but it is motivating to learn that something is worth the effort to do. Fine line I guess?
Call me unsophisticated but I think that making someone's life better is the best use of one's time.

As a Gen2 owner and amazed at the work you put into the wiring diagrams for the Gen1, I am truly looking forward to it.
And thanks in advance!!!

I am planning to do this ride again this year. Long but not too difficult. The thin air up top doesn't seem to bother me. Anybody else going? July 26 or Sept. 6. They used to do 1 weekend out of the yr. This year it seems that they are doing two 1 day events.
I will be riding up from the San Fernando Valley and camping near Bishop. Though, I might be able to get a large Mammoth Cabin at a great price since it is the off season.
