don't use the city light wires

It occurred that I've been remiss in referencing the use of the City Light wire circuit for powering relays and such. I generally advise against it because it generally requires that the wire(s) run back past the very "busy" steering head area which makes for broken &/or pulled off wires. It should also be included that the City Light Wires are switched on with the Tail Light so they will be on when the Ignition Switch is in the Park position. This may not be ideal because of drain on the battery.

 

I like the strategy of using an LED tail light bulb to allow the Park position to be used effectively while the bike is parked where it might be at risk of being hit.

Easy cheap seat fix:    I bought the atv pad from Walmart that straps over seat(approx. $30).  Which improves the comfort but not enough, then added a foam pad about 1+ in. thick used for hunting $3.99, placed it under the strap on pad.  Can ride for hours and feel much better than original.  You can buy 2 pads if riding 2up.  It is taller which may be a issue for some, I'm 6'2", good for me.    Regards   Bill

I tried it too, and while it was a minor improvement over stock, it still sucked. I rode with it once, and then ordered a SC seat.  I've owned both 1st and 2nd gen bikes, and I can tell you from experience that there's nothing that even comes close to an aftermarket seat. I had a Corbin on the first, and the aforementioned SC seat on the 2nd gen. I know neither are neccesarily "budget" like the walmart pad, but it's the ONE thing that's really worth sinking some money into. If you can cobble together enough money, you won't regret it.
