idle problem

Galvanic annodes:Seems to me they are use often on outboard motors, (sea water? usually?) I would think it has to do with escaping h2so4 (is that right, grin) sulfuric acid 'gas/fumes' attaching to the penny, rather than the battery post. Is that what you are thinking?m1. who is freaking scary! it is h2so4.!Haven't thought of that since 1970 chemistry

I love it when I remember stuff and then can't remember why not during a test on the subject. =) Back to batteries: For grins, take a volt meter and ground it at the (-) post then touch it on the top of the battery between the (-) and (+) terminal in several places. Watch the meter register! -eddie
