vrr upgrade
I just installed one of these VRR Mosfet Voltage Regulator Rectifier Suzuki Marauder VZ 800 2005 2006 Mosfet Voltage Regulator Rectifier Suzuki Marauder ... US $29.89 New in eBay Motors, Parts & Accessories, Motorcycle Parts View on www.ebay.com Preview by Yahoo
It's bigger than the stock Gen1 VRR but fitting to the original top bolt and making a new lower hole allows the fins to rest against the frame cross tube.
It is advertised as MOSFET and the price was good, especially shipped to my friend in the 'States.
It was not stated whether it is shunt or series regulation but thought I couldn't go wrong for the price, even if was a shunt unit. Testing shows that (assuming it really is a MOSFET, it produces a higher charging voltage under load at idle. Checking stator lead current indicates a uniform AC current regardless of load so it is a shunt unit and not series. Too bad but it seems that there are MOSFETs and that they are used for rectification which explains the almost 1 volt higher at idle.

My wife would never allow the bearings to be used as coasters. She's into natural foods and I had synthetic grease in the bearings. I'd have to repack them with organic natural non-GMO grease. YES it helps greatly. Bearing installation Instructions. Freeze the Bearings over-night, Then.......... Use the frozen Bearings as Coasters for your drink of choice (pepsi, bear ice-tea etc.) while staring at the job PROCRASTINATING your start. Without the frozen bearings for your drink, the drink would get warm and you would have to get off the milk-crate and start sooner. On Friday, September 5, 2014 3:10 PM, "'GMac' gmac999@...
