adjuster bolt plug/cap
Since we're in the neighborhood: As you listers know, in the orifice where the adjuster bolt resides lives a plug which, when consulting parts info, is called a cap. A while ago time flies mine seems to have swelled. For several years it's been impossible to fit it into the opening all the way. It hangs in there, on an angle, looking like it's soon to fall out. When I first noticed this I was sure, the next time I looked, it would be gone. For some reason it's still there. Has any one else had this experience ? I guess I should just order a new one. Or .forget about it and worry about more important things like the planet or the deficit.

Yes.
Damn thing is impossible to insert. I've been leaving it out. I know, bad idea. Mud, dust, etc. Well, I guess that's what God made o-rings for.

No .my orifice is clean. I'm sure that solid citizens, Criswell and Wichert, who have the same problem, consider cleanliness important - what a weird problem
Bogdan, who's afraid if he takes don't worry be happy to heart, he might get too relaxed and run over a desert tortoise.

I am going to contact the local HF to see if there is an additional discount for Easter. I live in Sacramento CA and we used to be known for its agriculture and one of its many nicknames was Tomato City. From age 6 to 16 I grew up in Agland and love it. Play all day in the fields, swimming in the irrigation ditches (aka irrigation canals), catching lizards and snakes, hunting and fishing, and would be home by dark. Still enjoy the Tomato City feeling. Just the other day riding north out of Big Pine CA I caught a glimpse if an irrigation canal and it made me smile. So 'tomatocity' is a good thing as is being raised in agricultural land (Agland). ps - the wife of a YamahaSuperTenere.com member knew what and where 'tomatocity' was and of course he had to confirm that. I guessing he lost the bet. Tim On Fri, Apr 18, 2014 at 1:28 PM, mark ward wrote: 1st. For all those "other guys" that do not know, (Not Me, but I'll still peek. While visiting the Black Hills, we adjusted Ron's do-hickey (in private of course). The plug would not go back no matter how we 'talked' to it.Replacement was the proper cure. cough.Criswell failed to mention the cure; order a new one...meanwhile, back at the ranch--rob one from the rev's spare KRL so we could keep changing Ron's flat tires on the trail.
The plug; It was indeed swollen. No idea other than age for it becoming that way.revmaaatin.
