Wonder how long before a new Hitler bunker version comes out with him ranting about his bike by wifi?

rejuvinate a gel battery?

Post by mark ward » Wed Apr 02, 2014 3:23 pm

This is a test , only a test.
Being a Tim Taylor/ MacGyver type, I wondered Can you rejuvenate a Gel Battery?
And with the HANDY web & Google I found a sight that said, PRY off the sealed top, and under you will find 6 little rubber caps, and INSIDE the DRYED OUT "GEL".
Like the Moisture absorbing silica crystals that come in EVERYTHING, (NOT IT) there is the Gel that also dry's out he suggested adding 10cc's with a medical type syringe, and if still not fully charging add 2 more cc's of DISTILLED water.
Well, so far I added the water, and hooked up the tender, and within seconds the little rubber tops started POPING OFF FLYING THREW THE AIR 2ft.
SO for now I have a cove on it holding down the rubber caps, and will WAIT until morning to try recharging, AFTER THE CRYSTALS OBSORB THE WATER.
Up dates to come.
