valves done - thanks nklr

This afternoon was the time to attack the valves for the 1st time. Followed Eldons instructions, the manual, and took the advice that several of you offered. Mostly I stuffed a million rags around the cam chain. I found those little collars under the cam holders, I can see how they could cause mischief. Finally figured to rotate the bucket to get the shims out, no real problems. Had one intake that had gotten too tight. I think that means if you plan on ignoring the valves as the bike is running fine, you're asking for trouble. If checking the valves gets expensive think what replacing a few other internals might run. I won't wait to long to check again as they do seem to be moving to the tight side. Now that I've done it won't be such a big deal. Thanks for the advice.
