Yes seems like the good old days were really the only way to ride Then. Now is so much better. Like to look at the old ones and smile but I'll keep my new ones as the memories of breakdowns and electrical short and this part cracking , etc. And most of them at 2AM in the morning on a cold lonely road. -- Best Regards & Happy Trails Andy Chesley @ 57 and ticking in Jennings in SW Louisiana Y2KLR650 @ 7+K sMiles 97 R11RA (Amiga) @ 16+K sMiles So Many Roads, So Little Time http://members.deltech.net/aches/>What was a macho bad-ass ride in >high school days now seemed grossly underpowered, dinky, poor- >handling, ridiculously slow, and vibrated like nothing I could >remember. klr almost starts
Are you sure? Sometimes the engine will chug and huff and sound like it's firing when it isn't.. How much combustion? Have you checked for spark at the plug? Have you checked for fuel in the cylinder? Spark + fuel = BANG! Even if your timing was a hair off, you would still get some combustion, maybe backfiring and such. I reckon you're missing spark or fuel. CA Stu>Hello any experienced wrenches out there, > I got a 93 KLR that almost starts. That is, if I keep the >starter turning the engine, there is combustion
