No, this isn't about bears. Great threads the last few days. Bears and Flares, most entertaining. I changed bars Friday. The dealer didn't have any stockers, so I found a similar set except they are two inches narrower. I read the archives but really couldn't tell how much a shorter bar would affect performance. I had to tip them back, the hand guards hit the fairing. Tried them out yesterday and wow what a difference they make on the road. Quicker handling, less or no wobble, not as tiring as the larger bars and the mirrors don't vibrate. I'm sure I'll have to slow down off road but it may be worth it. These bars are made by Fly for the Banshee. Very nice finish, heavy aluminum bar. Dennis Angus A-11

Hi all, I fitted White bros Ti bar KX1 bend. Light, won't bend, brake, flake paint, crack as easy. This bend lets me get forward on the bike more comfortably ( especially standing ). I can get my weight over the tank cornering and not feel cramped up. Just my style I guess. I prefer the stretched out arm position on the highway. The vibration has changed for the better. The choke does not hit the tank. The throttle cable touch the screen as before, though they could be rerouted. Yes I fiddled a lot with control position. Yes you have to file off the switch spigot. They are lower. They are 1in narrower which I like. Oh, I am 5'10", 170lbs and have long arms. Regards, Brian A14 D17

Are they 7/8" or 1-1/8" bars?

corbin seat for ktm

Post by frjsmithjr@webtv.net » Mon Oct 16, 2000 7:41 pm

I have a Y2K Adventure R and am looking for a Corbin seat for it. I particularly like the style that is made for the KLR, WITHOUT THE DIP. Has anyone on the list seen a KTM fitted with a Corbin seat, or know someone who might have one for sale?. Much obliged.
