nklr shopping spree and bandit 1200s

Post by Backroad Bill » Wed Oct 11, 2000 7:57 pm

I have been giving in to some very base temptations lately and have purchased new helmet, boots, tank bag, and other stuff......now I have new bike disease and am looking at the 2000 1200 Bandit for a work bike. I can get one for $6299 in a couple of local locations. Any Bandit riders out there care to offer up their two cents worth? ps.........could be worse, I could be "normal" and be spending my money on Dockers, entertainment centers, and Ford Excursions. I am sure you'll all understand.

Howdy, Don't panic... improvise. Tonight I decided to swap the balancer system on my A2 (44,000 miles with tensioner maxed out & chain still slack) with one from my lower mileage organ donor. The Honda shop that loaned me their flywheel tool once before was closed, so I used an outer CV joint/axle from a SAAB 900 as a flywheel puller. I'll further modify it for future use by chopping off the big end and attaching a crossbar so I don't have to use vise-grips. Mark B2 A2
