List: When I ordered a bunch of stuff from Tim yesterday he mentioned
that he is working on modifying the internals of stock mufflers as an
alternative to replacing them with after market items that sound or
perform better. Could be saving some money for those who want
something different. Maybe it will get rid of the tweety bird sound I
have been hearing about as well. Tim is going to do a special order
modification to the aluminum panniers for me and I appreciate that.

tim bernard modifying oem mufflers
the rumor mill has it that we may see an entire line up of products coming from a Elden Carl/Tim Bernard collaborative project...Don't call either of them on this or the rumor mill will dry up very fast... Larry: I don't know of any used KLR650s for sale around here, but that
doesn't necessarily mean there are none. WPB Powersports, our local Kawi
dealer, told me they would sell me a new 2001 for $4600 OTD. I told the
salesman that one of our members on the list said he bought one in Louisiana
for $4300 OTD. The salesman then said he might be able to get the boss to
come down a little more to keep me from going to Louisiana. I told him I
wasn't ready to buy yet, but I would keep it in mind. If I can buy new for
$4300, I might do that instead of buying a low mile used one. Good luck with
your search.
