Craig, I looked at something similar to this a while back and decided that for my Grand Cherokee it would not be a good idea. I wouldn't put one of these on anything but a vehicle with a full frame. Truck, large SUV, large van etc. For my part I'm considering a 4-door Frontier with a bed extender guard. Till then it's my Lowes utility trailer. Jim Jackson II A13 "Gonzo" South Carolina
